Ohu Development Ltd is a property development company driven by the desire to build stronger communities.
At Ohu we do property development differently. Traditional property development is driven by a developer whose primary objective is to make a healthy return on their investment. At Ohu we think about how to make a healthy return to serve a community. To do this we develop legal, financial and social structures aligned with the community's purpose.
Ohu’s development model is built on a holistic approach to thinking about and delivering high quality urban environments. Each project is intentionally designed to create places that connect people in meaningful ways so that they create thriving communities.
Ohu Development has three kinds of projects:
- Led Projects - we initiates specific developments and lead them through all phases.
- Partnership Projects - through a joint effort we take projects from early stage ideas through implementation.
- Supported Projects - we support groups by providing specific services depending on what their project requires.
To cover Ohu Development's operational costs we charge a development fee for our time. For projects we partner on and lead we may take shares in the developments. Profits from Ohu Development go to Ohu Foundation to be invested in future community minded property developments.
